Visa to Denmark

In some cases, a visa is required if you want to stay in Denmark for up to 90 days.

 The possibility of obtaining a visa to Denmark depends on which country you are a citizen of. It also depends on whether you are included in the asylum country group, immigration country group or tourist country group.

 The Danish Immigration Service has categorized countries into groups 1-5, and this categorization has an impact on how an application should be formulated. The process of applying for a visa to Denmark

You must send your invitation to the visa applicant and the Danish embassy or consulate general in the visa applicant's home country. The visa applicant must appear in person with the application and invitation at the Danish embassy or consulate general in their home country. This typically costs a fee in the region of DKK 400-1,000.

Conditions that must be met to obtain a visa in Denmark:

You must have a valid passport or other valid travel document that is valid for three months beyond the visa expiration date
You must have sufficient financial resources in the form of approximately DKK 350 per day
You must have travel medical insurance
You must not have an alert in the Schengen Information System
You must not have been expelled or banned from entering Denmark
You must not be on the EU or UN sanctions list
You must be able to document a special connection to your home country
You must be able to document a special attachment to the person living here
