    Revocation of residence permit

This is how the process of your involvement case with us works

It is Danish Immigration Service, which handles your withdrawal case in the first instance. You will be called in for a personal interview at the Immigration Service in Copenhagen, which is called a party consultation interview. Here you will get questions like:

    • Why did you initially apply for asylum?
    • What do you fear about returning to your home country today?
    • To what extent have you achieved an independent connection to Danish society?

Before your interview, it is important that you fill out an information form about your personal circumstances and your connection to Denmark, including: language skills, education or work, your connection to community life and your health.

Decision on revocation of residence permit

After the interview, the Danish Immigration Service will assess whether there are still grounds for you to be granted a residence permit in Denmark or whether you will have to be sent back to your home country.

If the Danish Immigration Service assesses that your residence permit will be revoked, you will receive a decision with the heading "Udlændingestyrelsen inddrager din opholdstilladelse”.

If you wish to appeal the decision, you can either choose to appeal yourself or get help from one of our lawyers who can appeal the decision on your behalf. Your case will then be created by The relocation board.

    Have patience

The best advice we can give you is to be patient if you appeal your decision. The Refugee Appeals Board often has very long processing times in these cases.
